This is a love story set against the backdrop of an impending apocalypse. Epidemiologist Susan (Eva Green) meets and falls in love with chef Mike (Ewan McGregor), but unfortunately, the world is currently suffering from a new epidemic. As the disease spreads, patients gradually lose their sense of taste, smell, and hearing, ultimately leading to the loss of vision, accompanied by emotional instability. Although Susan and Mike try their best to avoid infection, when Mike, as a chef, can no longer taste food, and Susan, as a scientist, gradually loses her senses, they come to realize that no one can escape this disaster. They choose to treasure each other in the little time they have left, ultimately embracing each other in their fading vision.
