Li Xiaoli (played by Yan Shuo), an employee in the hotel sales department, is a straightforward and carefree single mother. Due to her poor social skills at work and the responsibility of raising a child alone, life is tough for her. Under the mediation of a real estate agent, Li Xiaoli unexpectedly discovers that Cao Yang (played by Ji Chen), who has just gone bankrupt and urgently needs a place to stay, is fond of children. These two individuals, who initially could never live under one roof, end up signing a rental agreement to live together. When the hotel manager (played by Wang Maolei) erupts in anger after Li Xiaoli accidentally hits a client, she decides to fire her due to Li Xiaoli's various past mistakes. To salvage her job opportunity, Li Xiaoli volunteers to play the violin at a customer’s dinner in place of a violinist who couldn't make it. However, at the dinner, Li Xiaoli accidentally breaks a valuable bottle of red wine, and in her embarrassment, she decides to help the client sell wine to pay off the debt. Originally clueless about selling wine, Li Xiaoli inadvertently becomes involved in selling red wine, facing numerous obstacles and creating more trouble for herself, while also neglecting her daughter. With the wine-selling deadline approaching, Cao Yang decides to have Li Xiaoli pose as his wife to enter the upper-class circle of wives, helping him create more business opportunities, and promises to buy all of Li Xiaoli’s wine once the business succeeds. To Cao Yang’s surprise, Li Xiaoli’s genuine and straightforward personality endears her to the wife of one of Cao Yang's clients, who not only helps Li Xiaoli out of her predicament but eventually also starts a business selling red wine, leaving Cao Yang feeling desolate. Li Xiaoli's sincere and simple character, along with her unembellished and non-promotional sales mindset, rescues the wine company, which had been severely affected by luxury brands during the economic crisis, leading to a reflective moment for the company’s manager. A year later, with the help of Cao Yang's clients, Li Xiaoli runs a cozy little shop, having gained insights into the true meaning of life from her days of selling wine to pay off debts and learns to slow down and savor life. On her daughter’s birthday, Cao Yang sends a gift to congratulate them, and the three of them look forward to a happy future together.
