It is said that the monk Tang Seng (played by Xiao Changshun) and his four disciples traveled through mountains and rivers, braving countless hardships to journey from the East Land of the Tang Dynasty to the West to obtain the true scriptures. One day, the disciples arrived at a treacherous place among towering mountains. The Monkey King Sun Wukong (played by Liu Lingtong) considered that Zhu Bajie (played by Qi Lingtong) often slacked off, so he encouraged his master to send Bajie ahead to scout the mountain. Just as the brothers were playing and fooling around, they fell right into the sights of a demon that had long been watching them. This demon, living in the Wave Moon Cave, is a cunning and shape-shifting White Bone Demon. She is aware of Sun Wukong's skills and thus tricks Tang Seng, Bajie, and Sha Seng (played by Fu Machao) in three different forms, sowing discord among the disciples and staging the legendary tale of Sun Wukong's three battles with the White Bone Demon! This film is adapted from the story of the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West."
