After living for more than sixty years, Grandma Hsiu-Ying (played by Chen Shu-Fang) has always believed in the life philosophy of "focusing on doing one thing well." Ever since her husband suddenly left home without a word, she has devoted herself to working and managing the household, raising her children with all her strength. She believes that as long as she protects this home well, her husband who abandoned the family will eventually return.
However, during the visit from her granddaughter Xiao-Cheng (played by Wang Zhen-Lin), Hsiu-Ying receives the news of her husband's passing and is faced with another woman (played by Fang Wen-Lin) who accompanied her husband in his later years. Comparing the poised and elegant demeanor of her husband’s late-life lover with her own hands, which bear the calluses and scars of years spent working to support the family, Hsiu-Ying suddenly feels that the effort she has devoted to her life has become a joke. Emotions like misunderstanding and unwillingness create a tense atmosphere that threatens to ignite.
