Ice hockey is a sport that drives Canada crazy; on television, commentators from Toronto and Montreal engage in a war of words, while on either side of the screen, police officers Martin (Colm Feore) and David (Patrick Huard) are facing their own communication barriers with their children. A murder at the state border brings the two together, but the differences between the French-speaking and English-speaking regions add complexity to their seemingly shallow cooperation. Using the tattoos on the victim and a helicopter at the scene as clues, the two gradually get closer to the truth, yet the tattooed murderer always stays one step ahead, even directly provoking them during a television program. Throughout the investigation, Martin and David work through their differences to enhance their understanding, while the enthusiastic ice hockey fan who sees selling the team as an act of treason begins to come to light...The film won the 2007 Genie Award for Best Motion Picture and Best Original Score, and the Best Screenplay Award at the Canadian Comedy Film Festival. It also won the 2008 Jutra Award for Best International Action Film and Editing.
