In 1782, King Jeongjo of Joseon, in opposition to the Old Doctrine, investigated corruption in various places and appointed Choi Je-geun (played by Kim Myung-min) as the chief investigator, who was an outstanding detective in Korean history. A household officer was killed for exposing corruption, and Choi Je-geun cleverly identified the true culprit, who was colorblind.
