Catherine (played by Olivia de Havilland) is an ordinary girl who, like many girls her age, is a bit shy and introverted, while she also harbors beautiful fantasies about romance and love. By chance, Catherine unexpectedly comes into a large sum of money and transforms into a wealthy young woman. Her sudden wealth attracts a swarm of men who buzz around her like flies.
