The economy in Hong Kong is struggling, making life difficult for ordinary people, and even those in the underworld are facing dire situations. A small-time gangster named San Jiao Bao (played by Liu Qingyun) has been honest and loyal throughout his years of hard work, but in an era where self-interest is paramount, his loyalty is both precious and laughable. After finally helping his old buddy Tu Yan Long (played by Jiang Hao Wen) run a black market futures operation, fate strikes as they face a major stock market crash, leading to Tu Yan Long's impending bankruptcy. The two decide to conspire to rob a loan shark named Zhong Yuan (played by Lu Hai Peng) of ten million in cash. However, before they can act, they encounter another group of robbers, and Zhong Yuan ends up dead in his car. Bank employee Teresa Chen, who is Zhong Yuan's customer service and investment advisor, is suddenly left with a huge sum of money and faces a significant choice after feeling oppressed for so long.
