Every morning, an AE86 drifts on Mount Akina at an astonishing speed, and this AE86 belongs to the Fujiwara Tofu Shop. Takumi Fujiwara (played by Jay Chou) helps his father, Bunta Fujiwara (played by Anthony Wong), deliver tofu from their shop to an inn on Mount Akina every morning, but this is not something Takumi wants to do. Takumi also works part-time at a gas station run by a friend, Aki (played by Shawn Yue). Nakazato (played by Edison Chen) challenges Aki's team, and while practicing on Mount Akina, he is easily overtaken by an AE86. Nakazato decides to find out more about this AE86 and wants to compete against it.
