After assisting Chenjiagou in successfully repelling Troy, the foolish Yang Luchan (played by Yuan Xiaochao) and Chen Yuniang (played by Yang Ying) happily get married. However, on their joyous day, the eldest brother of the Chen family, Zaiyang (played by Feng Shaofeng), returns home with his wife, Yoonah (played by Xie Xinying). The family reunion brings old emotions back to the surface, but the sole leader, Chen Changxing (played by Leung Ka Fai), harbors concerns about the arrival of his eldest son, opposing the high expectations placed on the talented Luchan. Following this, a series of unrest quietly grows in Chenjiagou. Zaiyang recounts to the clansmen the origins of the bronze bell ringing at night and the taboo against passing martial arts to outsiders, leading the entire village to view Luchan as a threat and determined to drive him out of Chenjiagou.
