Bob (Rock Hudson) is a playboy who spends his days idling around. While on a submarine outing, Bob encounters a maritime disaster, and the police bring in the only inhalator in town to save Bob. However, the hospital director, Philip, falls ill at the same time and dies due to the lack of an inhalator.
