Colonel Katherine Powell (played by Helen Mirren) has been leading a six-year pursuit of a female terrorist through British intelligence, and with the help of the U.S. military, they finally identify a suspected sighting of her at a secret base. Just as the special forces are preparing to capture her alive, aerial reconnaissance unexpectedly discovers that the terrorist is plotting a suicide bombing with others. In order to prevent harm, Katherine orders an airstrike on the secret base to eliminate the enemy. However, when drone pilot Steve (played by Aaron Paul) locks onto the target, he realizes that this "secret base" is actually a normal residential home, and a girl runs into his attack range to play.
