Annie (Lindsay Lohan) and Hallie (Lindsay Lohan) meet at summer camp. They are remarkably similar in appearance, but they do not get along at all. By sheer coincidence, they discover that they are actually twin sisters. They start asking each other about their lives and discussing their parents: they met on a luxurious cruise ship and got married during the trip, but ultimately ended their relationship in heartbreak. Due to this divorce, one twin is taken to California by their father (Dennis Quaid), living in a beautiful vineyard; the other is taken to London by their mother, a wedding dress designer (Natasha Richardson). Thus, they have never met and are unaware of each other's existence. Realizing this truth, the two mischievous girls start plotting: they decide to switch identities and live in each other's families. Everything goes smoothly until their father is about to remarry, leading to a crazy showdown with their stepmother (Elaine Hendrix)... This film is a remake of the 1961 American movie "The Parent Trap."
