A-Feng (played by Wu Yanzu), Xiao Hu (played by Yang Youning), and Da Gang (played by Liu Ye) are good brothers and friends who grew up together in the countryside. Da Gang convinces them to come to the legendary Shanghai, where gold is everywhere, in pursuit of their dreams. After spending some time in Shanghai, Xiao Hu and A-Feng arrive at Paradise口 dance hall, where they meet the beautiful singer Lulu (played by Shu Qi) and the powerful figure Hong Ge (played by Sun Honglei), the owner of Paradise口. At a side entrance of the dance hall, A-Feng has a chance encounter with the injured Mark (played by Zhang Zhen) and takes him home to treat his wounds. From then on, the lives of these good friends begin to change around the intoxicating Paradise口 dance hall... Time is an arrow that never looks back; when they start to doubt themselves, will they regret their decision to come to Shanghai? Is this really paradise?
