The story takes place in Saigon in the late 1990s. U is a photography student who enjoys wandering around with a camera to capture the images around him. U’s roommate, Tang, is a very free-spirited man who often frequents vibrant nightclubs. The charm and mystery that Tang exudes deeply fascinates U. Under Tang's influence, U enters the nightclub world and meets dancer Wan. Although U has a one-night stand with Wan, he finds himself thinking more about Tang. After an unexpected incident, U and Tang embark on a journey to escape, arriving at a small village in the Mekong Delta. There, U's father introduces a simple girl to U as a potential wife, but U feels no emotional connection to her. Instead, it is Tang who becomes very close to this girl.
