Directed jointly by Zhang Che, Bao Xueli, and Wu Ma, with a screenplay by Ni Kuang, starring legendary actors Di Long and Jiang David, this film tells the life story of the pirate Zhang Baozai. The Qing Dynasty's naval commander sends young general Hu Yi (Jiang David) on a mission to investigate the whereabouts of the elusive leader of bandits.
