Betsy Bloom (Kate Winslet) is a well-known reporter for a New York news magazine. She receives an assignment to interview a death row inmate, David Gale (Kevin Spacey). Gale is convicted of the rape and murder of Constance Harraway and is scheduled to be executed on Friday at 6 PM. Bloom will be documenting Gale's final three days, despite Gale having previously refused all interviews. Initially, Bloom is indifferent to the assignment, but during her encounters with Gale, she discovers that things are not as simple as they appear. Thus, Bloom decides to spend the remaining three days seeking the truth... The film "The Life of David Gale" was directed by Alan Parker, who was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 2003 Berlin International Film Festival.
