This film is a true representation of actor Jia Hongsheng's reflection on a decade of difficult times in the 1990s, with Jia Hongsheng himself and his family returning to their respective roles in this recollection. Jia Hongsheng was originally a promising young actor; from 1987 to 1993, he starred in nearly ten films, including "Summer's Expectation," "Silver Snake Murder," "Beijing, Good Morning," and "Weekend Lover," gradually gaining some fame. During this time, he became infatuated with rock music, idolizing John Lennon of the BEATLES as his spiritual father. However, he also got involved with marijuana and soft drugs, which were not part of the rock spirit. From then on, he stopped accepting roles, and his personality became extreme, paranoid, and hysterical, making it impossible for him to interact with others.
