When Skeet (played by Adam Sandler) was a child, the hotel that represented his father's hard work was sold to Nottingham. Nottingham transformed the hotel into a resort and promised to return it to Skeet to manage when he grew up. For this promise, 25 years later, Skeet is still working diligently in the hotel as a handyman, only to hear that Nottingham has appointed someone else as the new hotel general manager. Frustrated, Skeet crafts his experiences and hopes into bedtime stories for his niece and nephew, and surprisingly, the whimsical plots start to unfold in reality, much to Skeet's delight. He decides to use the stories to achieve his goal of reclaiming the hotel. However, the children are picky about the deliberately arranged story content, forcing reality to develop in unexpected ways…
