In every American college, there is a beautiful cheerleading captain, and of course, there will be an unattractive outcast ugly duckling. Marnie (played by Kristen Bell) is the inspirational little duck from the ugly duckling story. After growing up, she removes her glasses and braces, finally becoming the sought-after charm director at a PR firm. However, her nightmare is returning home for her brother Will's (played by James Wolk) wedding, where her future sister-in-law turns out to be the cheerleading captain Joanna (played by Odette Annable) who once led the bullying against her.
