With the continuous development of technology, the Earth, which humanity relies on for survival, is facing increasingly severe pollution and threats. One day, a gigantic flying saucer appeared in the sky above the Earth, causing panic among people around the world, as no one knew what impact this uninvited guest would have on their fate. The saucer eventually landed in the center of Washington Park, USA, prompting local police and military to mobilize. The saucer was surrounded by fully armed soldiers and curious civilians, and after two hours of standoff, a suspension ladder slowly extended from the saucer. As the door opened, an alien named Klaatu (played by Michael Rennie) who looked just like a human, along with a fully metallic robot, appeared before the crowd. These two aliens seemed to have come for the fate of the Earth; they displayed friendliness but received no appropriate response... The film won the Golden Globe Award for Best Film Promoting International Understanding in 1952.
