The Yagyu clan's treacherous intentions linger as they send several teams of assassins to kill Bai Yidao and his son along the way, but in the end, they all fail. One day, the father and son stay at an inn, and a woman named Matsuko comes seeking help as Bai Yidao (played by Tomisaburo Wakayama) kills the person pursuing her. The brothel owner, Yuzo (played by Kinuko Hamamaki), who arrives after hearing the news, demands the assailant, but Bai Yidao refuses and willingly accepts punishment for the girl. Severe torture does not make Bai Yidao yield; instead, it shocks Yuzo. Yuzo's boss, Miura Taito (played by Jun Hamamura), therefore asks Bai Yidao to assassinate his enemy, Saruwatari Genba (played by Isao Yamagata).
