Patrick (played by Jean Reno) is an art thief. While stealing the precious Stradivarius violin, Patrick is betrayed by his accomplice Roman, resulting in not only a failed heist but also a near-death experience. Patrick goes into hiding, vowing to reclaim what belongs to him from Roman. Patrick designs a plan to bring his two daughters, Carol (played by Famke Janssen) and Caroline (played by Reem Kherici), back into his life. As a father, he has missed their childhood, and now Patrick hopes for a chance to mend their father-daughter relationship. Initially, the two girls scoff at Patrick's unusual profession and demands, but over time, the relationship among the three women gradually warms.
