In an era of rapid urban expansion and real estate development, the old residents of the Ma family ancestral home have all moved into commercial housing. However, Mr. and Mrs. Ma insist on staying in their old house. Real estate developers have set their sights on the ancestral home, seeking to expropriate it and transform it into a commercial space that integrates folk culture and dining. Mr. Ma is unwilling to hand over the family legacy to others. The developers use both coercion and persuasion, but Mr. Ma remains unmoved.
