The story begins in 2008, where Solomon (played by Harry Shum Jr.) is a chef. By fate, he encounters a woman named Jennifer (played by Jessica Rothe), and the two quickly fall in love. Their relationship is blessed by both families and friends. After dating for several years, they both decide that they want to spend their lives together and plan to get married. Solomon and Jennifer set their wedding date for August 2015. However, just as the wedding date approaches, Solomon is diagnosed with liver cancer, which has already progressed to stage four. The time left for the couple is limited, but despite this, Jennifer decides to become Solomon's wife, and they move the wedding date up to April 2015.
