Suzu Hirose has recently confirmed that she will star in the movie "Cheer☆Dance," adapted from the true story of the cheerleading team at Fukui Prefectural Commercial High School, which won at the national competition. To successfully portray a cheerleader in the film, Suzu Hirose has undergone nearly six months of intensive training. The new film, based on a true story that took place in 2009 at Fukui Commercial High School, depicts a group of high school girls starting from scratch and ultimately winning the overall championship in the high school performance category at the national cheerleading dance competition. The plot follows the true events closely, with Suzu Hirose playing the lead character, who is cheerful and innocent, joining the cheerleading team to support a boy she has a crush on in the soccer club. She unexpectedly faces intense training from her female advisor, eventually becoming the cheerleading center and winning the championship with her teammates. To prepare for her role as a cheerleader, Suzu Hirose started cheer training in December last year, with some days dedicating as much as 6 hours to practice. Despite having no prior dance experience, her athleticism stood out, and under the guidance of Fukui Commercial High School's cheerleading coach, Chiyo Maeda, she quickly grasped the skills. The director, a member of the winning team from 2009, praised Suzu Hirose's performance. For the final shoot, the team is set to travel to the U.S. for location filming and compete against the strongest cheerleading teams, with Suzu expressing her desire to appear as if she has genuinely trained as a cheerleader, all while remembering that cheerleading is fundamentally about joy. "Cheer☆Dance" is confirmed to officially premiere in 2017, directed by Hayato Kawai. Producer Takashi Hirano stated that Suzu Hirose's smile and vivacity best fit the character, hoping that viewers will be inspired by her performance in the film.
