500 years ago, superstitious Spain believed that the ends of the ocean were guarded by demons. Only the sailor Columbus was convinced that the end of the ocean was a new land. After much effort, he persuaded the queen to fund his adventurous journey and ultimately discovered the New World. Unfortunately, the nobles viewed this land as worthless, while he was the only one willing to maintain the natural simplicity of this paradise, ultimately falling victim to schemers. Will the distance between reality and dreams shake this dreamer's resolve?      - Behind the Scenes      The film depicts the sailing story of the famous navigator Columbus, focusing on his social life. Through the recollections of his son, Fernando, it recounts his tumultuous life. The film shows that, as a seafaring adventurer, Columbus was undoubtedly a successful giant; but if viewed as an ordinary person, he is a lamentable failure. The film vividly recreates Columbus's rich and colorful social experiences, his idealistic mindset and brave spirit, as well as his rude and brutish temper and greedy personality.
