On the bumpy roadside, a small group of women is on their way to the village cemetery. They walk solemnly, as if attending some kind of ceremony. Leading the front are Takla, Amal, Yvonne, Afaf, and Sayed. They hold photos of their beloved men while walking under the scorching noon sun. The men in the photos all lost their lives in a meaningless war, leaving their families struggling to survive at home. Some women wear veils, while others carry wooden crosses. Dressed in black, they come from different regions, different families, and hold different beliefs, yet their shared emotion along the way is—sorrow.
Upon reaching the cemetery entrance, a dramatic scene unfolds: the women voluntarily divide into two groups, one of Muslims and the other of Christians.
In this country ravaged by war for years, this small group of women raises the banner against war and actively practices anti-war actions. They are undergoing a baptism from the outside to the inside. Fortunately, their faith has survived the tests of doubt, religion, and opposing voices, and their friendship has endured. However, after tragic events occur, will anyone continue to engage in anti-war efforts and pray for peace?
