Costian (Jean-Paul Rouve) is a bird researcher whose passion for ornithology has consumed his entire life. A young barnacle goose, having lost its parents, is unable to learn the skills needed for migration, so Costian decides to pilot a light aircraft to guide the young birds from Norway to their destination in France. However, his request for funding at the Paris museum is denied. Thomas (Louis Vazquez) goes to his father's cottage for vacation. At first, the boy does not understand why Costian is so concerned about birds, but over time, he becomes captivated by these magical creatures. One day, Costian is shocked to discover that Thomas has secretly piloted the light aircraft to embark on the journey to guide the birds' migration.
