Four girls with different life paths come together: the photography-loving Maddie (played by Hedy Burress), shy and introverted Rita (played by Jenny Lewis), the wealthy but abused Gordy (played by Jenny Shimizu), and Violet (played by Sarah Rosenberg), who lead an ordinary school life in an art school. However, their routine is shattered by the sudden arrival of a runaway girl named "Legs" (played by Angelina Jolie). Weak and timid Rita faces sexual harassment from a male teacher but is too scared to speak up; Legs steps in to help her. Soon, the five girls become friends, with the rebellious Legs emerging as the leader of the "Bad Girl Gang." They choose an abandoned old house in the countryside as their secret base and begin to fight back and rebel, embarking on a journey of self-discovery. However, the pursuit of absolute freedom gradually strays from its original path.
