Taxi driver Pak (played by Tai Bo) and retired single father Hai (played by Yuen Fu Wah), despite having suffered under the constraints and norms of traditional society for most of their lives, take pride in the families they have worked hard to build over the years. However, they didn't expect to encounter each other on the final stretch of their lives... Pak has been married to Ching (played by Koo Ka-man) for 45 years, and they have a son and a daughter, representing what the previous generation of traditional Hong Kong people would consider a "happy family." Hai's wife left him early on, and he is left to care for his son Wing (played by Law Chen Yip). Although Hai lives with his son’s family, he cannot feel the warmth of home. The late encounter between Pak and Hai stirs up the emotions they have kept buried deep inside. Faced with the tug-of-war between "the temptation of love" and "social moral values," as well as the choice between their "primal desires" and the traditional "happy family" upheld by society, will they return to their most authentic selves? Or will they revert to a calm, stable life, continuing to uphold the "good family" recognized by social values?
