The protagonists, Zipi and Zape, come from a well-known Spanish comic, just like France's "Little Nicholas" and England's "Harry Potter." Their names together mean "mess" in Spanish. They were created in 1947 by cartoonist José Escobar Saliente. Zipi and Zape are a pair of twins who love adventure and always manage to outsmart danger with their wits.
