The story takes place in Berlin, Germany, in 1929. Erich (played by Florian David Fitz) is a somewhat famous writer who has created many popular works. One day, a little boy named Hans (played by Nico Ramon Kleemann) appears at Erich's doorstep, telling him that he is his super fan. Initially, Erich doesn't pay much attention to Hans's presence, but over time he realizes that this boy full of imaginative ideas can become a source of inspiration for his writing. With Erich's recommendation, Hans also gets a chance to play a role in a movie, and through their interactions, a deep friendship blossoms between the older man and the young boy. The outbreak of World War II and the Nazi's iron grip shatters Erich and Hans's peaceful life.
