The film depicts the controversial gay writer Capote's journey in writing the novel "In Cold Blood," delving deeply into Capote's sensitive and cruel inner world. 　　The protagonist of the novel is based on Perry (Clifton Collins Jr.), a brutal killer who murdered a family of four for a mere $100 in 1959 America.
