In a city in the south, Captain Liu (Liao Fan) of the Major Crimes Unit offers a hefty reward for the capture of the fugitive Zhou Zenong (Hu Ge). Various individuals, including the swimming companion Liu Ai'ai (Gwei Lun-mei), Zhou's former friend Hua Hua (Qi Dao), and his wife Yang Shujun (Wan Qian), who he hasn't seen in five years, all harbor their own secrets and become embroiled in this whirlwind of crime and punishment. Adventure and love, humanity and redemption—how will this special "gathering" conclude? The line between good and evil is but a thought away. Chinese director Diao Yi'nan previously won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival with his work "Black Coal, Thin Ice" and was nominated for the main competition section at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival with this film.
