The film is adapted from the 2003 Danish film "Cold Heart". It tells the story of Alex Lewis (played by Liam Neeson), an assassin known for his careful precision. After refusing to complete a dangerous task for a criminal organization, Alex becomes the target of an assassination, and he must hunt down those who want him dead. Senior FBI agent Vincent Serra (played by Guy Pearce), Linda Amistead (played by Taika Waititi), and Mexican intelligence liaison Hugo Marquez (played by Harold Torres) are brought in to investigate the trail of the murdered bodies, bringing them closer to Alex, but also igniting the wrath of local tech tycoon Davana Silman (played by Monica Bellucci). With the criminal organization and the FBI in hot pursuit, Alex has the ability to escape, but he is battling severe amnesia, affecting his every move. As details blur and enemies close in, Alex begins to question every action he takes, and who he can ultimately trust.
