Thirty years ago, Hoberg, a member of the Icelandic crime trio, was murdered in his own home. Officer Elrando and two partners (played by Ingvar Eggert Sigurðsson) are responsible for the case. A photo of a grave at the scene catches Elrando's attention, and following this clue, Elrando uncovers the truth behind an old rape case. Meanwhile, her daughter Eva is indulging in a reckless lifestyle, becoming pregnant out of wedlock and not knowing who the father of the child is. As the investigation deepens, Elrando discovers that the cause of this case is a rare genetic disease, a tragedy that seems to have been doomed from the start.
