The year is 1975. Toyo is also on the verge of marrying his girlfriend, Mitsuko Sunago (played by Yūko Ishida). Just as he is enjoying this favorable moment in life, Toyo encounters the beautiful and alluring lady, Kazuko Manaka (played by Miho Nakayama). Under what seems like a spell, Toyo quickly falls into a passionate entanglement with Kazuko. He indulges in his desires, forgetting his way back, and nearly loses his precious love and friendship. Mitsuko has a vague suspicion of Toyo's affair, and he is forced to choose to break up with Kazuko, only to find out that this separation will last for 25 years... This film is adapted from Jun'ichi Watanabe's romance novel.
