André and Stephen are a well-envied gay couple, inseparable both in their professional and private lives as members of a symphony orchestra. Their beloved cat, Moses, is the third member of their household. However, a sudden act of violence shatters their perfect life, leading to growing suspicion and estrangement between them. Stephen attempts to win back André's cold heart. How can two souls, suddenly drained, rediscover the determination to carry on? Klaus Händl's second feature film, demonstrating a cool and incisive style typical of Austrian cinema, explores the turbulent psychological states of the characters, unexpected plot twists, and symbolically meaningful arrangements, maintaining a high tension throughout. It profoundly depicts the elusive nature of love, questioning the limits one may sacrifice for love and whether redemption can bring forgiveness. Love can bring joy and also evoke deep pain, much like a cat that sometimes seeks affection and at other times disappears without a trace.
