The British filmmaker Sue in the film is played by Alice Patten, the youngest daughter of the last Governor of Hong Kong, Chris Patten. An English officer who suppressed Indian revolutionaries was moved by their spirit of martyrdom, leaving behind a diary that recorded the circumstances of the time. Years later, his granddaughter Sue (played by Alice Patten) is deeply touched after reading the diary and, fueled by passion, quits her job at a film company to come to India to shoot a documentary about that historical period. Sue casts students from the University of Delhi. A group of lively young people, who, like many others, feel indifferent towards the country of India, come into her sight. Ajay sacrifices his life to prevent civilian casualties, but his reputation is tarnished by the higher-ups in the government. The culprits remain unpunished.
