In a remote mountainous area, a monk and a Taoist live next to each other. The monk (played by Wu Ma) is easygoing and cheerful, accompanied by his lovely female disciple Jingjing (played by Li Lizhen); the Taoist (played by Chan Auyeung) is stern and strict, while his disciple Galah (played by Qian Jiale) is mischievous and playful. The two masters, with their contrasting personalities, are constantly bickering and competing, while the two feuding disciples provide comedic relief with their antics. One day, a strange funeral procession passes through, as a member of a frontier royal family has died from zombie poison, transforming into a zombie. Daoist Qianhe and the prince are escorting the coffin to the capital. They encounter a torrential downpour, and the coffin is struck by lightning, allowing the zombie to burst forth and go on a killing spree. The dark minister (played by Yuanhua) escapes with the prince, but the prince is already affected by the zombie poison. The monk and the Taoist instruct their disciples to watch over the prince while they rush into the woods to find Daoist Qianhe...
