Taipei, at night, on Mother's Day evening, Chen Mo (played by Zhang Zhen) has arranged to have dinner with his wife (played by Gwei Lun-mei). On the way home, he wants to buy a cake and parks his car outside the store. In a moment, Chen Mo's car is blocked by another car parked beside it. Unable to get home, he starts searching for the owner of the car in nearby apartments, only to encounter a series of bizarre events: an elderly couple who lost their only son mistakenly thinks he is their son returning home; a one-armed barber shop owner (played by Gao Jie) places a fish head in the restroom; a prostitute (played by Zeng Peiyu) from the mainland runs away from the night market; a tailor shop owner (played by Chapman To) from Hong Kong is being chased by the underworld... A parking spot that has become stuck seems to unravel a series of entanglements. Chen Mo, who just wants to move his car and go home, finds himself inexplicably caught up in the troubles of many strangers. His heart is with his wife waiting at home, and their relationship is on the brink of collapse; tonight was supposed to be an opportunity for reconciliation... This is the first feature film by Taiwanese commercial director Chung Mong-hong, nominated for the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.
