In a certain city in Southwest China, Officer Wang Laoshi (played by Ding Yongdai) has been haunted for years by the bank robber Liu Chuan (played by Huang Jue) who escaped five years ago, vowing to capture him himself. Liu Chuan has been hiding for several years, but returns to the small city for his daughter, only to unexpectedly encounter Officer Wang. The two engage in a life-and-death chase. Just as Wang Laoshi captures Liu Chuan, the ground shakes and the entire city collapses. Upon waking up, Liu Chuan puts on Wang Laoshi's police uniform for convenience but finds himself trapped in a rescue operation due to this uniform. Meanwhile, rebellious girl Qin Xiaoxiong (played by Lin Xinru) develops feelings for Liu Chuan because of his bravery. As the rescue deepens, Liu Chuan seems to forget his true identity and temporarily thinks of himself as a police officer. However, the appearance of Officer Wang Laoshi shatters his illusion. But during their escape, Wang Laoshi inadvertently puts handcuffs on Liu Chuan, leading people to mistakenly believe he is a criminal.
