This film is adapted from the true story of the elderly Ji Zongying, telling a touching tale of the elderly's noble virtues of filial piety and love for family. 65 years ago, at the age of 17, Ji Zongying married into the Sun family; that year, Dou Dou was 8 years old and became blind at 7 due to smallpox.
