Rada is a struggling playwright in New York who longs to achieve a breakthrough before turning 40. But when she fails in what seems to be her last shot at success, she has no choice but to reinvent herself as the rap artist Radamas Pri. "Forty-Year-Old Woman Plays Rap" tells the story of Rada navigating the worlds of hip-hop and theater in search of her true voice. The film won the Directing Award at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and is the personal debut of writer and director Radha Blank, featuring a candid and engaging storyline.
