Leonard (Mark Rylance) is a skilled tailor who, after a fire, leaves London for Chicago, where he runs his own tailor shop. The only employee apart from Leonard is a girl named Mabel (Zoey Deutch), whose father is a notorious thug. Burdened by her father's "reputation," Mabel is determined to save enough money to see the world beyond this dirty, dark neighborhood. One late night, mob boss Roy (Simon Russell Beale)'s son Richie (Dylan O'Brien) and his right-hand man Francis (Johnny Flynn) break into the shop. Richie is seriously injured, and under Francis's threat, Leonard tends to Richie's wounds, saving him from the brink of death. However, he also gets entangled in the conflicts of this mob family.
