"Pulp Fiction" consists of five parts: "Vincent and Mia", "The Gold Watch", "The Bonnie Situation", and the prologue and epilogue of the film. Although these small stories seem independent at first, they are interconnected in complex ways. The robbers "Pumpkin" and "Honey Bunny" hold up a diner but encounter a major problem — mafia members Jules (played by Samuel L. Jackson) and Vincent (played by John Travolta) are dining in the restaurant, making for an unexpected turn of events. Will they let the two small-time robbers go? Vincent is a henchman for mafia boss Marsellus Wallace (played by Ving Rhames), who orders him to spend an evening with his wife. Knowing that crossing Marsellus would mean certain death, how will Vincent handle the alluring temptation of Marsellus's wife? Vincent's story is not over yet. The appearance of boxer Butch (played by Bruce Willis) will change his life forever. Butch has a family heirloom gold watch, and because of this watch, he shares a humiliating secret with Marsellus. The story is circular, returning to its beginning. Jules recites the Bible in front of the small-time robbers, expressing his weariness and reflections on killing. What event caused him to change so dramatically? The answer lies in "The Bonnie Situation."
