Professor Ueda (played by Masaru Sanuki), who teaches organic chemistry at the Japan Institute of Technology, is known as a strict teacher. Once he discovers a student cheating during an exam, he imposes severe punishments without exception. However, Ueda is not a person of noble character; on one hand, he plagiarizes articles from Professor Nakanishi (played by Akiji Nakao) and claims others' achievements as his own, and on the other hand, he accepts bribes intending to demolish the historic dormitory building to convert it into a hotel.
To protect their dormitory, students Riki (played by Taro Yamamoto), Kimura (played by Tatsuya Yamaguchi), and the lovely Yumi (played by Namie Amuro) reach an agreement with Ueda: as long as all of their exam grades are A's, they can stay in the dorm. However, for these students who usually do not study seriously, this requirement is undeniably harsh. In order to achieve their goal, they brainstorm and launch the greatest cheating war in history...
