Chen Xiaomeng (played by Xiao Yang) has always dreamed of becoming an actor, but the harsh reality has left him struggling in minor roles. With no money, no job, no lover, no friends, and a significant amount of debt, Chen Xiaomeng contemplates suicide. However, even death has abandoned him, as he fails multiple times to take his own life. One day, while at a bathhouse, Chen Xiaomeng unexpectedly encounters a mysterious and wealthy man (played by Andy Lau), who falls and loses consciousness, ending up in the hospital. Finding the man's locker key, Chen Xiaomeng decides to assume his identity and enjoy a taste of the rich life. The head injury causes the man to lose his memory, and based on fragments of clues, he believes he is actually Chen Xiaomeng, eventually tracing his way to Chen Xiaomeng's rented apartment, hoping that the familiar environment will help him recover his memory faster. During this process, the man meets a social media influencer named Li Xiang (played by Wan Qian), and sparks fly between them.
