Starring big names Julia Roberts, Tim Robbins, Sophia Loren, and Marcello Mastroianni in 1994. Renowned satirical director Robert Altman takes aim at the Paris fashion scene, using a fashion exhibition to expose its insides and even orchestrates a mass of models to appear in the nude for shock effect. Will it be aired in its original form on television? The film's plot unfolds through multiple intersecting storylines: on one side, the sudden death of the president of the French Fashion Association leads his widow, son, and mistress to vie for control of the business while the police are sent to investigate the cause of death; on the other side, media from all over flock in for interviews, and an American female journalist is forced to share a room with her male counterpart, ultimately completing their interview assignment without ever leaving the room; several fashion magazines adopt a spy-vs-spy approach to entice fashion photographers to sign contracts.
